Entrepreneurship students in New YorkThe Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business Entrepreneurship Center had the incredible opportunity to travel to New York City over spring break and learn from successful individuals in their field. Students engaged with prominent figures and business leaders, see behind the scenes of the business world in New York, and gain valuable insights in the world of commerce. The trip provided a platform for practical learning and networking through real-life experience that will prove invaluable over the course of the students' careers and life after graduation.

“I absolutely loved every second of this trip!” said Hayley Steggell, a senior in business management and marketing, and employee in the entrepreneurship center. “I loved all the places that we went and all the people that we met! I loved trying new food and figuring out the Subway and getting to explore the city!”

The trip kicked off at Rockefeller Center where students had the opportunity to meet David Chen in The Harvard Club, a prominent historical and cultural landmark. From there, the group met and dined with Marcia Nelson, the managing director at Freedom Capital Markets. Before leaving, the group also had the privilege of meeting Morad Fareed, a former professional soccer player and co-founder of the global wellness company Delos. Some of the trip's meals were also catered by Southern Utah University and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Students also visited the New York Stock Exchange to encapsulate a true day-in-the-life of an entrepreneur. The experiences offered through this and other trips offered by the SUU School of Business Entrepreneurship Center greatly help give students a broader perspective on opportunities after college, while still offering an authentic New York experience.

The Entrepreneurship Center is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential in the business industry through valuable experiences and education. Learn more about the Entrepreneurship Center.
