CCAC Disruptive Childhood Behavior Clinic

The Disruptive Childhood Behavior Clinic (DCB) within the CCAC provides services for families with children (ages 2-12) who exhibit significant difficulty regulating their emotions and behaviors. Evidence-based treatments in the DCB are primarily caregiver-focused with the goal of reducing the frequency and intensity of children’s tantruming, non-compliance, or mild physical aggression.

Following the initial request for services, a brief video screening appointment should occur within 2 weeks of reviewing the referral request (or 30 days if in the summer months) and last for 15-20 minutes. The purpose of this screening call is to determine the appropriateness of services through the CCAC. If deemed an appropriate fit for a clinic within the CCAC, the client will be contacted within 2 weeks. If no there is no current availability, the client will be assigned to that clinic’s waitlist.
