FIRST Utah Volunteer Information

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for a FIRST Utah event. FLL and FTC programs are driven by volunteers.

When you’re a FIRST volunteer, you empower students to be future changemakers. Working side by side with FIRST participants, you inspire them to use their skills to make a positive impact on their communities and the world. Volunteering with FIRST gives you the opportunity to share your knowledge - whether technical or non-technical, learn something new, build your resume, and network with other volunteers and sponsors. Step 1: Register with FIRST

Visit the FIRST Volunteer Registration website and register as a volunteer. As part of the registration process and in accordance with the FIRST Youth Protection Policy, you will be asked to agree to a simple, free background check.

It usually takes 48-72 hours to complete the background check and confirm your volunteer registration.

Step 2: Communicate with your Event Coordinator or Event Volunteer Coordinator.

You should receive a confirmation email from FIRST and an email from event personnel within a week. If you have not received an email within 7-10 days, please email your event coordinator. If you do not know your event coordinator, email firstrobotics@suu.edu with your name, chosen event(s), and any pertinent information. We will help you connect with the correct personnel.
