Calculating IDC/F&A
SUU's federally-negotiated Indirect Cost (IDC) rate (also known as Facilities and Administrative, or F&A, Cost) is 45% of any Salaries, Wages, and Benefits (SWB) charged to the grant.
- Sum of all SWB x (multiplied by) .45 = IDC/F&A Cost
All other rates specified in the Request for Proposal (RFP) or Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) need to be processed by SPARC Office personnel.

- Overload Pay Benefits — Specific to university rates.
- Part-Time/Temporary Employment — Determined by SPARC Office personnel.
