“We are very excited about the recent improvements that have been made in our MBA program,” said Program Director Ken Hall.

Since his arrival at SUU, Hall has continued to update the online MBA program in order to make it more accessible for students. In this recent batch of updates, Hall has made efforts to increase both accessibility and affordability in order to make the program convenient for working students, who make up the bulk of the MBA’s student population.

Encouraged by SUU President Scott L Wyatt’s effort to prioritize affordable and accessible education, and with approval from the Utah Board of Regents, the online MBA will be providing a flat rate per credit hour tuition model which will create a 12% decrease in the overall cost of online tuition for the MBA degree.

In addition to decreasing costs, the MBA program now offers foundational business courses, meaning the MBA will be accessible to any student, regardless of the type of undergraduate degree they have earned.

“The new MBA business foundations provide students with undergraduate degrees in areas other than business the essential skills to be successful in the program,” said Hall. “They can quickly grasp the fundamentals of finance, accounting and marketing, and be confident in their ability to master the concepts in the MBA classes.”

Finally, the MBA has plans to add three new tracks in order to help students focus their efforts on the areas that interest them. These tracks, in finance, marketing, and leadership, will provide students with a greater depth of understanding and increase their ability to apply their studies to real-world experiences.

“As we look to the future, we are continuing our work to enhance and expand our program, so stay tuned for exciting updates throughout 2020,” Hall concluded.
