Undergraduate Library Media Endorsement

The Library Media Endorsement program provides the courses required for the Utah School Library Media License (K-12). Endorsement students must currently have, or be seeking, a valid Utah teaching license.

How do I apply?

Students must fill out and turn in the Library Media Application. Students must be admitted to the University and register. You can contact the Registrar's office with any questions at 435-586-7715.

What are the requirements?

The undergraduate endorsement requires 18 credits and must be completed during the five years prior to application for license. Twelve credits must be taken through SUU. Below is the outlined coursework for the program. Research our course descriptions.

  • LIS 4200: Information Literacy Instruction (3)
  • LIS 4500: Leadership, Advocacy, and Professional Responsibility (3)
