Administrative License

The Educational Leadership Program at Southern Utah University offers two options: a 36-hour program and a 27-hour program. The 36-hour program, upon completion, provides an M. Ed. degree and recommendation to USBE for the Educational Leadership License. For those that already hold a master’s degree, the 27-hour program satisfies USBE requirements for recommendation for the Educational Leadership License.

Admission Requirements include:

  • Utah professional educator license
  • Original transcript(s)
  • 3.0 GPA on last 60 credit hours of coursework
  • Confidential recommendation from immediate administrative supervisor or an LEA-level administrator with knowledge regarding the individual’s potential as a school leader
  • Verification of background clearance
  • Copy of most current evaluation
  • Orientation (available here)
  • Admissions Interview
