Campus COVID-19 Information
SUU operates under the direction and guidance of a number of entities including the Utah State Legislature, the Utah System of Higher Education, the U.S. Department of Education, the Utah Department of Health, the Southwest Department of Health, and various accrediting bodies.
Latest Updates (5/5/2022)
Thank you for helping keep campus open and face-to-face this past year in a safe and responsible way. Our case numbers have remained low and that’s because of our shared commitment and diligence toward following effective health practices. We encourage everyone to continue participating in prevention strategies to help keep the University community safe and healthy.
SUU is mask friendly. This means that students, faculty, staff, and visitors are welcome, but not required, to wear masks inside campus buildings. We have free SUU masks available for employees and students which can be picked up in the STIL Office (ST 177).
Get vaccinated and stay up to date with booster shots. Learn more about vaccine safety from the CDC. Being vaccinated can reduce or eliminate the need to quarantine or isolate. It also can help better protect not only you, but other campus community members.
If you are sick, please stay home and follow appropriate protocols. Your professors and supervisors will be flexible and work with you to make accommodations via the COVID-19 Self Report Form. To learn more about updated quarantine and isolation guidelines, visit the CDC website.
Practice good hygiene with regular hand washing and disinfecting high touch areas.
Work together and consistently consider the impact of your decisions and actions on other employees and students.

SUU’s COVID Testing Center serves symptomatic members of the campus community and their immediate family members (living in the same household). The COVID Testing Center will be open from 8 a.m. through 12 p.m Monday through Friday by appointment only. (excluding campus closures)

*This table does not report community members who have tested positive at SUU's testing site.
Counts may change due to self-reports coming in after numbers were initially reported.
The number of cases listed in this chart are those who have tested positive at SUU's testing site or have self-reported a positive COVID test to SUU within the prior week (Monday to Sunday). There may be other cases on campus that are not included as individuals may not have used the SUU testing site or self-reported a positive test result to SUU. The case counts shown here represent SUU's very best effort to capture the number of cases.
