Best Outdoor Study Spots on SUU’s Campus

Outdoor study spots at SUU0Southern Utah University isn’t called the University of Parks for nothing. In addition to being surrounded by beautiful national parks, SUU’s campus has some amazing outdoor spots that are perfect for studying.

Try studying for finals in some of these spots across campus:

Outdoor Classrooms

There are two outdoor classrooms on SUU’s upper campus near the General Classroom Building. When these aren’t in use by a class, they are available for anybody to use. These benches are a great place for studying with plenty of shade and several benches for group work.

Picnic tables

Outside the Hunter Conference Center, there are several picnic tables available for use. Overlooking the beautiful upper-campus, this is an excellent place to study alone or with a few peers.

The Centurium

The Centurium on lower-campus is an awesome place for studying, surrounded by several historically renowned scholars. Learn more about the Centurium and the featured scholars in this blog post.

The Waterfall

Just west of the General Classroom Building is a waterfall feature. Surrounded by trees, this somewhat hidden spot on campus is a great spot for studying. There are benches nearby, and the upper-quad field is a great place for studying or hanging out.

Pederson Shakespeare Character Garden

Located east of campus at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, the Pederson Shakespeare Character Garden is a wonderful place for studying anything, but especially Shakespeare. Learn more about the art on campus.

Tables Outside SUMA

Just like outside of the Hunter Conference Center, the Southern Utah Museum of Art (SUMA) has several picnic tables outside that can be used for studying. SUMA is located just a block away from campus.
